Pododermatitis is a common and frustrating dermatological presentation, seen both in first opinion and referral practice. Depending on the primary disease, the feet may be affected directly or in in some may represent a clinical signs due to a systemic disorder. Most often the clinical signs are due to a combination of causes including physical trauma and predisposing conformational factors, along with allergic, auto-immune or metabolic conditions.
In this talk we are going to discuss the diagnostic approach via the following points:

  • History taking
  • Clinical examination
  • Differential diagnoses
  • Diagnostic tests
  • Review of differentials
  • Final diagnosis

Furthermore, treatment options will be discussed for each of the most common conditions.
