Bio

Dr Ana García Fernández graduated from Alfonso X El Sabio University in Madrid (Spain) in 2012.

Ana’s passion for diagnostic imaging began when she was a fourth-year undergraduate student. After graduation, Ana obtained a rotating internship at Alfonso X El Sabio University, spending one year in alternating services, before moving to the UK to become a general practice veterinary surgeon.

Ana returned to Spain in 2015 to complete a one-year diagnostic imaging internship at the University of Murcia. After completing her internship, Ana spent four years as the head of the service in a diagnostic imaging referral clinic.

In 2019 Ana was awarded a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice of Diagnostic Imaging by the University of Liverpool. The following year, Ana moved to Valencia to join the diagnostic imaging team at CEU University, becoming the Head of the Service in 2021, until returning to the UK in December 2022 to join the London Vet Specialists Team.

Ana has also been a lecturer for a postgraduate degree course in diagnostic imaging (IFEVET) since 2021.

Ana has spent time in the diagnostic imaging departments of several faculties in the UK (Liverpool, Cambridge, Glasgow) and many private hospitals.

Ana regularly attends European congresses and has many publications in diagnostic imaging. Ana’s special area of interest is advanced imaging (CT and MRI).

Outside of work Ana loves travelling, cooking and spending time with her family and her two dogs, Luna and Pipa.
