Bio

​Ellie graduated from Cambridge Veterinary School in 1999. After 3 years in first opinion practice, she undertook a residency in Feline Medicine at the Animal Health Trust, and then worked at Bristol University for a year as a consultant in canine, feline and emergency medicine. She since gained the RCVS Diploma and Specialist Status in feline medicine, and settled in Chester where she worked for 10 years in a private referral hospital, seeing a wide range of canine and feline medicine cases.  Preferring a greater variety to life, Ellie now works part time for Axiom Veterinary Laboratories as an internal medicine specialist, and divides the rest of her working time between providing a visiting endoscopy service for vets in Cheshire and the surrounding area and working as a consultant in internal medicine at London Veterinary Specialists.

She is an associate editor for the BVA’s In Practice journal, a lecturer and examiner for the RCVS CertAVP, and is regularly called upon as a speaker, both nationally and internationally.

Ellie has 3 cats and a lazy pony. Outside of work, her other interests include the theatre and hiking.
