Dr Emma Laws, RCVS & European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology & Neurosurgery

Hospital Director

Emma Laws

Bio

Emma graduated from the University of Bristol in 2013 and spent a year working in a first-opinion veterinary hospital in Chippenham before returning to Bristol to undertake an internship and residency in neurology and neurosurgery. After her residency, Emma moved to North Downs Specialist Referrals, a multidisciplinary specialist hospital in Surrey, where she worked in the neurology team until 2021.

Emma then moved into a central role within Linnaeus and was involved with various projects within the Medical and Business Development teams. In May 2023, Emma joined the London Veterinary Specialists team as the Hospital Director, which blends her passion for leadership and strategy with working on the clinical floor providing neurological care to pets in need.

Emma has two naughty but very lovable sausage dogs called Osho and Olby, along with a beautiful Ragdoll cat called Effie. In her spare time, you may find her playing tennis with her husband Ben, baking, gardening and running (mostly Parkrun followed by a very big brunch!). Emma is starting an MBA at Chicago Booth University in August 2023, so her spare time is likely to fill up very quickly with studying.
