A range of endocrine diseases are encountered with varying frequencies in general practice. Each of these disorders have their own effects on the animals physiology and its ability to deal with stresses of anaesthesia, surgery and pain. Additionally, pets are living longer and are now presenting for “elective” procedures when they have an age-related disease. This CPD event will discuss how an individually tailored anaesthesia protocol can help to optimise patient safety in this subset of patients
