Dr Alex Hatch BSc (Hons), BVetmed (Hons), MVetmed, DipACVECC, MRCVS, has joined the Hampstead-based referral centre after a career which has so far seen him practice in California and New York, USA; Zanzibar, in East Africa, and various London-based clinics.
Now, Dr Hatch, who was born in Geneva, Switzerland, is relishing the opportunity to work with the highly-respected team of clinicians at LVS, which is part of the UK-wide Linnaeus Group.
Dr Hatch said: “I’m delighted to have joined LVS, where care and cure are at the core of everything we do.
“The facilities here are state-of-the-art and the specialists are recognised as leaders in their fields, which ensures we deliver the highest standards of care and treatment.
“It’s a terrific team, which is spread across so many different disciplines, and the communication and co-operation between everyone allow for us to provide excellent patient care for all of our clients and their much-loved pets.”
LVS is just as pleased to have Alex join the team, with renowned Head of Surgery Dr Janet McClaran saying: “We are delighted Dr Hatch has joined LVS.
“He will be available for consultation and transfer of emergency cases and will be a true asset in providing enhanced care of our most critical cases.”
Dr Hatch once worked for Village Vet, the first opinion sister company to LVS. He completed a one-year internship at its 24 hour Hampstead practice shortly after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2010, sparking his interest in emergency and critical care
Between 2013 and 2014, he was an ECC intern at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis. Following this, he went on to complete an internationally renowned highly competitive three-year residency position in Emergency & Critical Care with the Royal Veterinary College, University of London.
Dr Hatch’s most recent position was Clinical Director of Clerkenwell Animal Hospital in London. He is now looking forward to continuing his professional career with us here at LVS and we are delighted to have him join as part of our team.
