Following this, he began working in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia, initially completing an internship at the University of Liverpool and then a 3-year residency training program at the Royal Veterinary College. David’s main interest is using balanced techniques to try to improve animal safety during anaesthesia and sedation, and also improve the quality of recovery from anaesthesia.

From falls to fights to motor vehicle accidents, dogs and cats are prone to traumatic injury. Join David and Janet for a discussion on how to manage unstable patients requiring anaesthesia and / or surgical interventions. We will review safety guidelines, pain management, as well as anaesthesia and surgery tricks and tips for a successful patient outcome, with plenty of time for questions and case discussions.
